SNVH is Equipped with State-Of-The-Art Surgical Facilities to Provide your Pet with the Safety of a

Human-Grade Operating Environment

Stratham-Newfields Veterinary Hospital has two separate surgery rooms to decrease the risk of infection.

Most veterinary hospitals have multiple tables in one room which can put your pet at greater risk for post-surgical infections.

Surgery rooms have human-hospital grade HEPA filtration which performs a complete air exchange every 4 minutes to reduce risk of

surgical infections and increase safety. Additionally, the filtration system maintains a positive pressure, causing the air to

always flow out of the surgery when the door is opened, making it nearly impossible for contaminants to enter the surgical field.

There is no “standard of care” for veterinary anesthesia as there is for human anesthesia

Many vet practices reuse disposable endo-tracheal tubes (the "breathing tube" that goes into your pet's windpipe) to reduce costs.

Not only are re-used tubes no longer sterile, reuse risks failure of the seal, which could allow fluid to enter your pet's lungs

during the procedure.Your pet will always get a new, sterile endo-tracheal tube when at SNVH.

The medical team at Stratham-Newfields Veterinary Hospital are committed to client education and patient safety.

The SNVH dedicated staff of veterinary medical professionals

All of the Veterinary Nurses are Credentialed Veterinary Technicians. In response to the lack of licensure requirements for

veterinary technicians, Stratham-Newfields Veterinary Hospital spearheaded the effort to require

licensure of all veterinary technicians in New Hampshire.

What is a veterinary technician?  In New Hampshire, anyone can be called a veterinary technician or "vet tech."

SNVH requires that their nurses caring for your pets are credentialed veterinary technicians, which means they hold a

college degree and have passed a national exam.
